茅葺屋根の葺替工事見学会
井上家は平維盛の家巨の井上重屋が建久年間に嵯峨北菖浦谷に住まいしたことにはじまります。慶長年間に嵯峨観空時の現在地に移ったとされています。1200 年の歴史をもつ大覚寺の周辺に位置し、周囲に広がる田園風景と菜の花畑の中にあります。瓦の土塀、そして茅葺き屋根を構える姿は、江戸期の地域景観を今に伝えます。
主屋は妻入片入母屋の茅葺き屋根、木造平屋建で、江戸時代中期の建築。門をくぐると正面には、入母屋の茅葺き屋根と式台玄関がお出迎え。ダイドコロニワの土間には７つの焚口を持つおくどさん（カマド）があり近年まで、毎年地域恒例の餅つき行事がここで行われました。地域に根ざした生活文化が残る魅力的な空間を継承しています。
新年号「令和」と共に新たに始まる、山﨑家( 旧井上家) の改修工事へ是非お出でください。茅葺き屋根の葺き替え工事・大工工事・建物内部の見学ができます。
